Industrial Sifters

The sieving of materials is often an important part of bulk material handling. It is often a daunting task to choose between different types, sizes and configurations. As a general rule of thumb, tumbler screening provides advantages for fractioning fine powders thanks to its increased surface contact; vibratory screening is ideal for sticky products or products prone to agglomeration. What are the material characteristics? What is the sifter to be used for? How will the sifter be installed in the process? Let Tekemas guide you, to ensure you get the right sieve for your product or process.

    SM 550-VS Vibratory check screener

The SM 550-VS is a vibratory sieve with an enclosed pneumatic conveying system. Air bourne dust generated from sieving loose powders is known for contributing to a hazardous work environment, but the Sievmaster Vacusiev has been designed to overcome this issue. The enclosed pneumatic system vacuums product straight from the sieve into a conveyor, mixer, or bagging machine. The SM550-VS is ideal for sieving particularly fine powders, and like most Farleygreene machinery, has an ATEX rating approved as standard. The 550 model is also available on a mobile ‘C frame’ and can be upgraded with an ultrasonic screen.

    SM 950-VS/PS Vibratory check screener

The SM 950-VS/PS is a vibratory sieve with an enclosed pneumatic conveying system designed for both vacuum and pressure lines. The vacuum and pressure systems provide a means of sieving and transferring particularly fine or dusty product from one area to another in a single operation, whilst protecting the working environment from hazardous air bourne dust. The SM 950-VS is ATEX approved as standard, available with a mobile frame for greater flexibility, as well as many other options including an ultrasonic screen.

    SM 1250-VS/PS Vibratory check screener

The SM 1250-VS/PS is the largest pneumatic sieve designed by Farleygreene, it is ideally suited in plants and factories where there is a requirement to process very large volumes of product. It is designed to be integrated into new or existing processing lines that transfer product via vacuum or under high pressure. The SM 1250-VS/PS features a fully enclosed system reducing the issue of air-borne dust and protecting the surrounding environment. It is available on a mobile stand and is ATEX approved as standard. It is also available with several options including an ultrasonic screen upgrade.

    Easylift SM 550-ESL Ultra

The Ultra model, similar to standard Easilift, also features a pneumatically assisted dust hood but is totally free of crevices. A hygiene barrier between sanitary and non-sanitary environments is ensured by a fold-out sack table, and a side mount motor enables user access. Used in connection with the Sievmaster Slimline SM550 check screener, this machine can process up to 25 kg powder at a time, dispensing into containers, static weigh bins or integrated into conveyor systems.

  • Image of Vibration sifter VRS

    Vibration sifter VRS

Allgaier’s VRS vibration screening machines are designed for bulk material grading, safety and check screening for virtually any bulk material with fine, medium, or coarse particle sizes. They are also perfect for use in wet screening applications. The VRS is a high-performance, cost-effective all-round machine, as standardized components are used to make them an especially affordable alternative for customers. The machines are driven with a vibratory motor that generates a horizontal and circular tumbling vibrating motion, moving the material being screened in a spiral pattern from the inside and moving outwards. Screening quality and throughput can easily be adjusted, depending on the application. The VRS can have up to 3 decks and 4 particle size ranges; screen surface area of 0.28–1.59 m2.

    Control sifter Vibrall

Allgaier’s Vibrall vibration screening machines are designed to carry out check and safety screening on free-flowing bulk materials. The machines are driven by two unbalance vibratory motors which are offset opposite to each other. Foreign matter is separated efficiently by the circular motion that starts from the inside and moves outward, ensuring effective safety screening. Centrally positioned material infeed and fine material outlet on the machines make them ideal for use in vertical conveyor systems with high flow rates. The Vibrall has a throughput of up to 200 t/h, can have up to 2 decks and 3 particle size ranges and a screen surface are of 0.20–2.60 m2.

    Vibration tumbler screener VTS

Allgaier’s VTS vibration tumbler screening machines are a cost-effective choice for processing virtually any bulk material with fine, medium, or coarse particle sizes. They are also perfect for use in wet screening applications. The machines are driven with a vibratory motor that generates a horizontal and circular tumbling vibrating motion, moving the material being screened in a spiral pattern from the inside and moving outwards. Screening quality and throughput can easily be adjusted, depending on the application. The VTS can have up to 3 decks and 4 particle size ranges; screen surface area of 0.28–1.59 m2.

  • Image of Tumbler sifter TSM /tsi

    Tumbler sifter TSM /tsi

Allgaier's TSM/tsi tumbler screening machines are specifically designed for bulk material grading, safety screening and de-dusting. They are ideal for fine and ultra-fine particle screening of all types of bulk materials, with precise grading of up to 7 particle sizes. The machines feature multiple decks for maximum productivity and a unique motion pattern. The radial inclination transports the product from the center of the screen outwards; the tangential inclination generates a circular motion. The combination of these movements results in a helical movement of the particles across the mesh, ensuring that the particles remain on the screen for a long time. Some of the TSM/tsi benefits include screening efficiency of up to 99%, adjustable tumbling movement for precise control, a large range product-specific mesh cleaning systems, low noise and easy maintenance. A variety of machine sizes are available, with screen sizes ranging between 600 mm and 2.900 mm.

  • Image of KEK Centrifugal sifter

    KEK Centrifugal sifter

Kemutec’s KEK range of Centrifugal Sifters provide the ideal sifting and screening solution for dry powder and other bulk solids. A specialised ‘Cantilever’ design offers users high hygiene standards. They are designed to allow tool free maintenance, resulting in optimised uptime and output. In addition to this, KEK Sifters are very easy to operate, making the sifting and screening process simple for the operator. They are typically used in food processing, as well as powder processing industries, where the need for a hygienic design is paramount. The sieving process of powders and granules takes place in gravity and in-line applications, while output with KEK varies from over 90 tons per hour, down to a few kilograms. The Centrifugal Sifter is used to sift and screen high volumes of material, at high speed and with great efficiency.
