Mechanical Conveyors

There are many factors involved when trying to determine which type of mechanical conveyor is required for a process: the type of product, conveying rates, , conveying distance, available space, energy consumption, hygiene requirements and ease of cleaning. With years of process and bulk material handling experience, Tekemas’ engineers can help you evaluate your process requirements to determine the right equipment for the task.

    Bucket conveyors

The core of all Wiese continuous bucket and pendulum bucket conveyors is the rubber chain. It runs without links, is vibration-free, low-noise and ensures virtually maintenance-free operation. Furthermore, it produces no metal abrasion and requires no lubrication. Wiese continuous bucket conveyors are characterised by a fully enclosed, seamless conveyor belt, allowing horizontal-vertical-horizontal conveying in a single elevator and eliminating transfer points. This reduces product damage and abrasion. The transportation route length is virtually unlimited. Various materials are available for every component of the bucket conveyor. The materials are chosen based on the requirements relating to compatibility, temperature and the physical and chemical properties of the materials being transported.

    Pendulum bucket conveyors

The core of all Wiese continuous bucket and pendulum bucket conveyors is the rubber chain. It runs without links, is vibration-free,low-noise and ensures virtually maintenance-free operation. Furthermore, it produces no metal abrasion and requires no lubrication. Wiese pendulum bucket conveyors have swinging buckets which remain in a horizontal position, regardless of their location and speed. The buckets form a self-contained, seamless conveyor belt, allowing continuous delivery of product with a minimized risk of product loss. There is no restriction to the simple Z-shape. C, O and T-shapes are also possible. The buckets can be designed in food-grade, detectable and/or conductive materials, entirely in accordance with the requirements of the application in question.

    Aero mechanical conveyors

The Wysetech aero-mechanical conveyor is a highly versatile tubular system, ideal for conveying most types of powders, granules and flaked materials. The aero-mechanical conveyors consist of terminal sprockets and a wire rope and plastic disc assembly, and are capable of handling dry bulk materials at up to 35 M³/hr. The loose-fitting plastic conveying discs create both air and material displacement, thus fluidising the material by surrounding each particle with air and resulting in high throughput with minimal product degradation and particle separation. Features include low-noise, low power consumption, dust-free operation without need for filters, and operation at any angle without loss of capacity. Robust construction provides a long, low-maintenance lifespan. Can also be used for sticky and cohesive products.

    Screw conveyors

Van Beek has a broad range of screw conveyors to transport powders, granules and pastes quickly, safely and hygienically from point A to to point B, horizontally or at an angle of maximum 90°. The conveyors are part of a sealed system with an inlet and outlet, making the screw conveyor extremely suitable for dust-free and noise-free transfer of powders. Each screw conveyor is customized, designed for that specific application. Finishes and design can be adapted precisely to the wishes and requirements of the client. Features which enable thorough cleaning and inspection of the system and prevent microbacterial growth have been specifically developed for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. This offers full control of production processes in which everything revolves around hygiene.
